Gastric emptying (GE) is a complex process, regulated and influenced by numerous physiological, dietary, pharmacological and pathological factors. Abnormal GE is associated with clinical signs, such as vomiting, anorexia, nausea, pain, and abdominal distension, which negatively impact quality of life.
